Do you see me or do you even care? That is something I wonder every day towards the political circles both state and federal. You know the ones, surrounded by their private security. Their multiple cars, fancy houses and fully stock kitchen. Oh I cant forget their flashy and paid for schools.
While everyone is fighting about what the former administration was doing, do you even see us? While you are having stroking conversations with the lobbyist, do you even care?
Do you even know us?
There are many people out there that think the same.
There is a small part of the people you have overlooked too long. Well, we are tired but the one thing we have memorized is what our parents did for you. Even though you have seriously, forgotten about them, that is they fought for you, some died for you. Do you recognize us now?
Let me introduce myself to you. I’m the daughter of the United States Air Force MSgt. I’m also the granddaughter of an Air Force pilot. I can go through my line and show who was in the military, and it’s a very long line. That’s not why I’m writing this.
I’m writing this because of the pathetic disregard for the compassion of sick children of the vets who signed the check for this country. The sheer lack of not only trust for you is well throughout our community. Do you care?
We have, like our parents, asked for help. It’s fallen on deaf ears. Again do you care?
Do you know how many people from the second generation of children as well as the Grand Children are sick? Millions, and no I’m not talking over the seas, I am talking here in our back yard.
Maybe you should get to know us.
Let me get this out first. We never asked for this illness, just like our parents the government has saddled us with a never ending battle of illnesses. With no help at all just like our parents the government and the Veterans Adminstration have left us in the dust. We are having to deal with all of this pain, illnesses without any help. Not to mention finding any doctors that have any type of knowledge of these illness is far more stressful.
The mention of the illness, or pain if you happen to go to an Emergency Room is another set of battles. The looks, the feeling and whispers are something you never want to face.
Several different bills on the ”books” that would help us, been for several years. Either been forgotten or just kept being pushed into committee or even sub committes.
All we want is justice for us. Just like we want justice for the ”betrayal” that our parents and our grand parents so rightly deserve.
