Well today was a good day

Well today was a great day when it came to the doctor’s appointments. I guess like I said before for every bad there is a good day. Today was that day.

For the last few weeks there where bad news after bad news dealing with my medical issues. My surgeon yesterday told me that the biopsies I had last where going to be my last. He also did not want to go after any more surgery on my throat at this time. Which to be honest, I am frankly tired of people sticking my throat.

Today was frankly awesome day. Even though yes I am exhausted. My physical therapist is really awesome and I get a great vibe from her. I know dealing with my dizziness is going to be a pain however like she said you have to retrain your nerves in and around your eyes and ears. You also have to depend on touch as well. Spoke with my endocrinologist today she is in agreement that we need to leave my thyroid alone I have a lot of other things to deal with and frankly we can just do testing . I told her about the issues I was having with my pills and she said that she was going to send over a prescription and with the increase I shouldn’t have any issues.

Now with all of that out of the way, here is the fun part. I have been trying to see a dermatologist for a while due to the issues I have on my face. The normal hospital district where I am going to cant see me until December. Guess what I am done with that. That is not going to work for me and I took the bull by the horns. I looked up where and who I can go to and with my new medical insurance through ssi well I can go anywhere that takes it. So I have scheduled the following

  • Dental
  • dermatologist
  • chiropractor

It feels great to be in control of my care again. The only thing that is seriously going to suck is now I have to keep up with new doctors that is not on the My-Chart. Well if the hospital that I go to does not square up and get better. I will be moving everything over to a new provider.

The only thing I would have to move is my Gynecologist, Oncologists, Primary Care doctor, and both my mental health person as well as my endocrinologist.

Be an advocate for your own care and do not let someone tell you you need to do something without proof!
